Main Game Rules
Like each other game, this game also has a set of rules. Read them and remember them!
1) Keep all chat channels civilized (A-OOC excluded). This includes no spamming!
- Do not use caps in a full sentence, this means more then 2 words.
- Do not use capped words split into several sentences to avoid the rule.
- Profanity is not tolerated!
- Repeating sentences, words, links is considered spam.
2) No posting anything of mature content
- Posting pornographic links will not be tolerated and will result in mute or ban.
- No cybering in game, if you feel like cybering, go to msn or aim.
3) Don't argue with Staff about rules or punishments.
- If you feel like being wronged, post the situation with a screenshot on the forum. Make sure you post all the needed details.
4) Don't bother the staff for personal favors.
- Asking to be summoned into rooms you don't belong is not allowed, both you and the staff will be punished if this happens.
- Asking a admin to edit you in any way is not allowed, doing so will risk you into getting muted.
- Keep asking for ranks to a discretion, if a staff member has been asked a lot he may see you as indiscrete
5) Don't ask staff to unmute or unban you or someone else.
- Using a alternate key to ask if you can be unbanned or unmuted is not allowed, doing so will get your alternate key punished in the same way.
- Don't bother staff on instant messengers to be unmuted or unbanned. This will result in a permanent ban!
- Don't ask other people to play as a messenger and let them ask for a unmute or unban. They will risk being muted or banned instead.
6) Don't ask for GM or Admin.
- Asking for GM will in most cases be ignore, but you will risk a mute. To sign up for GM, check the forum.
- Asking for Admin while not being a GM is just plain stupid, you will risk a mute.
- If you're a GM and want to try out for admin, check the forum.
- Asking for GM or Admin outside the ways stated above are not tolerated and will risk a ban!!
7) A-OOC rules! (To go here, toggle ON in options)
- A-OOC stands for 'Arguement Out Of Character', so this channel is reserved for non roleplaying only.
- If you fall into a arguement with someone and wish to discuss it, invite the personne to A-OOC (Toggle this on in the options window).
- This channel is free from most chat rules, with a exception of Pornographic content and cyber.
8) A GM may deal with issues not listed above.
- Causing general disturbance to the game will risk yourself being booted, muted or even banned.
- GM's may also punish you for trying to avoid the rules by bending them in any way.
- These rules are basic guidelines, follow them at all cost and remember them.
Role Play Rules
This game is a Roleplaying game, RPG in short, so this means there are certain things expected from you if you play this game.
1) No IC in OOC!
- Do not talk about anything characterly in OOC, OOC is not an extension for Say
2) No OOC in IC!
- Do not say things in say that your character would not know about!
- Say is meant for your character to talk, your character does not know everything you as player does!
- Only talk about OOC things in say if its between certain symbols like ( ) or [ ].
3) You are expected to always Roleplay as your character while in the RP Zone!
- This means you need to RP most things you do.
- Only kill if your character has a good reason for it! And roleplay that reason so all viewers know why you did it!
- Do not go to places your character doesn't know about, for example, new witches don't know about the academy or the charmed manor!
4) Your character needs a damn good rp reason to find out about things!
- A witch will not know about the good academy unless this is told by other magical beings, most likely a whitelighter or fellow witch who already knows.
- Discovering about a place by walking inside of it is NOT a good reason. Your character wouldn't break into a building just like that....unless you are evil and need a place to hide....But there might be someone in there you don't know and they might give you trouble, so is it worth it going in?
- Only certain ranks are familiar to people, some evil may know about the Source or Triad. But those ranks haven't been around for many century's so most will not. Most Elders even forgot about the Charmed Ones, so why would a whitelighter know it without looking over history...and even if they find out by finding information on it, they still have no reason to believe it was true.
5) To acquire any rank at all, you have to participate in large RP events!
- This means RP events that contain at least 5 people a side! Or just 5 for a RP for only good or evil.
- To become an Elder, you will need to be an exceptional good whitelighter, which means looking after charges instead of killing evil.
- To become the Source, you will need to be able to acquire it by force, defeating all those who oppose you in a RP event.
- To become a Charmed One, at least a single Elder will need to find out about the prophecy and find the witches who meet the requirements. ONLY AN ELDER WILL RECOGNIZE THEM!
6) For any RP event to be considered valid, a RPM must be present to observe it.
- Only when a RPM is observing the RP will it be valid for ranks or the story!
- Doing a major RP event without one may cause it not to be accepted into the story.
7) Eitherway, this is a RP game, use common sense when doing things!
Rules are subject to change in game and out of game if there is a need for them to be. So besure to check the rules often if you think you are about to break one or already are!
